<p>So I want to transfer to UNC my Sophomore year, because I am a Senior im HS right now and it's way out of my reach (I was declined by a school less competitive than them). Will it look that much better for me to apply this year (It would show interest), be declined, and then applu again next year? Or can I avoid typing up essays etc for a college that I will not get into...?</p>
<p>Two years from now is one-ninth of your lifetime. Lots of things can change in that time. After you’ve done all you say you will do, if you still want to apply, go right ahead. No one in the admissions office is going to remember that you applied two years before.</p>
