do i have to complete my associate degree?

good morning everyone, now i am enroll in community college major in computer science. and i want to transfer to another college in two year. but do i need to complete my associate degree before i transger? on averge, how many of community college's credit will four year college accept?

thank you all

It depends on the school you’re targeting. I would meet with their transfer counselors with your transcript and see what will and won’t transfer. Seeking an “average” is moot since transcripts are different.

and NO you don’t have to finish your associate’s requirements. Many colleges will welcome you heartily.

Check with your CC counselor. Some CC’s have transfer agreements where you get automatic admission or other considerations if you do complete you Associate’s.

You don’t usually have to but it depends on your situation and whatever the school has in place.

The same state public universities often have articulation lists showing which courses at community colleges match up to which courses at the four year university. For example, in California, you can look up [Welcome to ASSIST](http://www.assist.org) to see the lists, including courses needed for each major at each UC and CSU.
