DO I have to take TOEFL/IELTS, If I took the ACT and came to the US in 3rd grade?

Dear admissions:

Sorry to bother you during your holiday break, but I have a grave question to ask.
Your application says: "If English is not your native language, the TOEFL or IELTS is required."
Although English is my second language, I came to the US when I was in third grade. Plus, I have my standardized test scores to prove my English abilities. If this is the case, am I required to take the TOEFL/IELTS?

Thanks and have a happy holiday!

no u dont. i dont know the exact policy, but u don’t have to take the toefl

My friend moved to the US from France for kindergarten. He did not need to take the TOEFL, and I don’t think there is all that much difference between moving here for kindergarten and moving here for third grade, so I think you should be fine without the TOEFL.

You definitely do not need to take the TOEFL, Omegaz. FYI, I moved to the United States when I was in fifth grade. English is not the native language for a lot of people who are proficient in the language.

Lol, that makes my day.
