<p>I am 18 years old and have been invited for a job interview at a department store on Wednesday. I have never had a job interview before, so I'm not sure if I need to bring along references. Is it necessary? Will I make a bad impression if I don't? Have any of you gotten a part-time job without supplying any references? Please advise.</p>
<p>I guess it couldnt hurt, but I dont think its gonna be a tremendous boon either if you can cite someone whose lawn you mowed in the past. I’d just have some names and contact info in mind, and bring it up if they specifically ask.</p>
