My son have ACT of 35 (took once), but SAT 2250 (took once). I want him to re-take SAT1, expecting him to get > 2300, for better chance to get into Ivys. I know ACT 35 convert to 2350 of SAT1, but they are 2 different test, if the school compare his SAT to other's, he would looks weak. But I know some school don't like to see you take so many time of SAT even though the 2nd score is higher. For my son's score, do you think it's better to take again or not?

Appreciate your suggestion!

The 35 is great for any college. Forget about retaking. He should concentrate his efforts on doing well on his SAT IIs and APs.

Thanks for the suggestion!
You mentioned concentrate efforts on SAT IIs, is it the more subjects the better? If he could get good score? He already took Chem (780), Bio (800), History (800), Chinese(800), Math (800).
If he want to major in engineering, is it better to take Physics SAT II? He already did good score on Math and Chem, they are engineering related.

He’s already taken enough SatIIs. Assuming his gpa/rank are as impressive as his scores, I don’t understand why you are so concerned? He has at least as high a chance of getting in to wherever he wants to go as anyone else.

SAT + EC will improve his chances
