Do I need to send official transcripts to each individual UC, or just to one place?

I'm currently at my CCC and am wondering what the address would be to send an official transcript to the location where I sent in my UC application....

...or if this mindset is wrong and really, am supposed to send an official transcript to each of the four UC schools I applied to.

An address would be appreciated, considering I'm holding the transfer request form from my CCC.

firstly you get accepted, secondly you SIR, lastly you send in transcript

@holidays: After you get your admission decisions back, you’ll send an SIR (signed intent to register, I believe) to whichever school you select as your final decision (you can send multiple SIRs, but they’re $100 a piece with no refund.) Upon receipt of that SIR, the school with formally request all your transcripts and you’ll send them directly to them.

Here’s my thing though: in about a month I’ll be leaving California to move to China for six months till August.

I simply wanted to get most things outta the way.

I completed most of my courses at one certain CCC, with the exception of one transferable math class, elementary stats, at another CCC.

So earlier today I visited the CCC at which I took that transfer level math class and grabbed official transcripts. Then I went to my original CCC, where I’ve completed over 70 units, handed them the official transcripts with the math courses listed as having been passed, to get IGETC certified at my main/original CCC.

Luckily, the counselor at my main CCC told me I could petition the math class so the C letter grade I got would replace my F grade I originally got at my main CCC.

The counselor too told me that I still need to mail in official transcripts (from both CCCs) to each UC I applied to, individually.

Though what I’m hearing here so far is that I gotta wait till I get accepted, months from now. Last semester I was told I could/should mail the UCs my official transcripts from both my CCCs to each UC, individually.

@holidays: You make two correct points in that last paragraph. You need to wait until SIR’ing to the UC, and then you need to send them to that UC directly. If you send them now, they’ll toss 'em.

Very good to know. Perhaps then, considering I’ll be out of the country for the next months, when I hear I get accepted into ucla or Berkeley, I can call someone back here in the states to mail out (already addressed and stamped envelopes) my official transcripts to the particular school I get accepted to, correct?

Or would you suggest something else?

I simply don’t wanna miss any important details, as I’d really like to not worry about all this when I’m out of the country for these coming six months.

You should be able to go online to your CC’s website and request they send your transcripts to whatever school you decide to go to. It can all be done online.

@holidays: Yeah, that’s probably the best idea. If you’re late on sending in transcripts, your admission decision can and will be revoked (personal experience on that one.)

My CC doesn’t have an online option, otherwise that works too. Also, last year my HS transcripts were required by UCI (despite me not putting my high school grades anywhere on my app and not having any AP units) so that’s something you gotta make sure you have to.
