<p>Hey everyone!!
OK so I really would appreciate some advice/tips on whether I would stand a chance of being a Dartmouth Scholar (LOL)
Please be harsh, critical. I really need to face reality and stop living in my "bubble".</p>
<p>Female
(From Australia/New Zealand, so I am an international student)</p>
<p>SATs (combined): 2100. M:730 CR:670 W: 700
They are not stellar SAT scores. But I tried my best And I sat them 3 times.
SAT IIs: Chem: 800 Maths IIc: 740 Biology: 780
I take IB courses at school (full IB diploma).. Predicted: 43 - 44/45
We don't have GPAs here. I've been getting all As for as long as I can remember, I slipped this year in TOK (mandatory core subject, theory of knowledge, for IB) and got a C.
Rank: top 10%</p>
<p>ECs:
elected Chairperson, founder of Chinese Language Club
Secretary of International Welfare Comittee
Treasurer of Amnesty International Club
1st Flutist at school orchestra for 5 years
Rowing Team 2 years
Member of school's badminton team for 3 years
elected Captain of school's badminton team for 1 year
Volunteered at Trade Organisations.
Duke of Edinburgh Award, Silver
Other miscellaneous service to school. </p>
<p>Medically Related:
Volunteered at rest home for 150 hours (chatting to elderly, entertaining them)
Volunteered at a provincial hospital with the red cross in china. I was a simoultaneous translator, took blood pressure of patients, directed to various floors etc etc
NSLC leaders in Medicine/Health Care (lol i flew to US!!)</p>
<p>That's basically it!
Any thoughts? And If I don't stand a chance at Dartmouth, do you guys have any suggestions of schools that might be able to accept me?
P.s Im so sorry if you've seen me post threads like this in other forums, but I am so anxious/desperate for advice.
