SAT IIs:
I just took the Biology M and Math 2 SAT and do not have my scores back yet. Probably in the 600s like my other…mediocre… scores.

Essay: Decent
Recs: Very flattering.

Other: Female, First gen. college student, rural Pennsylvania.

Unfortunately below the 25th percentile for most of SAT scores. But someone needs to be in there bringing the average down. :p. Do i stand a chance?

your gpa is ridiculous but those SATs won’t get you in, real sorry but you should retake or something, Chance back please!!!

Haha yeah I feel the same way about the SATs. I have taken them twice and have discussed my scores with the students in my classes. We all have approximately the same scores… Hopefully the SATs are not a huge factor in admission… Thanks :)

In response to your comment “Hopefully the SATs are not a huge factor in admission,” the most important things are GPA, SAT, and extracurric/essays.

And usually you need GPA and SAT score within the range for your extracurrics and essay to be considered. Unless you do some really kick-ass stuff.

I’m not sure about Brown though.
My friend was top 5% in his class but had a ~1600 and he was accepted to UC Berkeley.

Colleges love students from rural/farm areas though.

screw you rachel!
I’d say you have about a 3-5% chance.
just like that one ****** told me
too bad you’re not applyin to brown.

Brown is a long reach, SAT/ACT scores and GPA/transcript are the two most heavily weighted factors in admission and your SAT’s are far below the 25%. If you have time, I would definitely retake your SATs.
