A Last Minute Chance..

So I've gotten rejected to both UCD and UCSC so far, and I'm now wondering what my chance of getting into UCI is.
I'm aware that UCSC is a lower-tier school and that getting rejected from there must mean something, but I know of instances where people have gotten rejected from lower-tier and accepted to higher-tier schools.

Strong essays (evaluated by a doctor)
Prompt 1: I described my desire to pursue a career in the health industry, and my family background (Despite my parents' divorce, I persevered and continued to respect them).
Prompt 2: I discussed my very first trip to Indonesia, the country of my roots. I talked about stepping into a new world and described my reaction to it.

UCI has actually been my #1 for a while now, so I really hope that I'll be able to make it in. I'd appreciate any input that you guys can offer me =]

im sure you will get in but the test scores are kinda low. And you being asian doesnt help either, but im sure youll get in!
Chance me back plz?

@firstgenblackman Thanks for your honesty. And yes, I’d be happy to chance you. Could you tell me your stats?

@visvim
I have a 3.45 UCGPA and 1750 sat. 300 hours of community service and did 3 sports.
My stats are very low because my father’s work collapsed and I had to work 32-40 hours a week from soph-junior year, destroying my gpa.
My mother could not work because she cant speak English, she never graduated high school and my father only graduated high school with a GED.
We are ethiopian refugees and are a family of 8 with <20K a year. I basically hold my family’s income. I want to go to UCI or UCSB because I want to do pre-med. Do I stand a chance at any UC’s especially UCI and UCSB.
I got accepted to UCR but cannot go there.
Thanks!!!

@firstgenblackman I’d say you have a chance. Hopefully you emphasized your ethnicity as well as your background in your essays because both have substantial effects, and hopefully UCI Admissions are as understanding behind your stats as I am. In any case, very impressive.
