<p>I doubt it… there are over 1500 people each year… but I’d like to know how much ISEF affects admissions, I won a grand award as well :-)</p>

<p>Even Intel STS finalists (top 40) aren’t guaranteed Ivy spots. Even with stellar scores, grades, essays and recs. Doing well in a competition is not an entitlement to any school. At some, it helps. At others, not so much. The kids who do well at these kinds of competitions often have other characteristics that make them attractive candidates at highly selective schools.</p>

as long as you’re not international, you’re pretty much guaranteed a spot in at least one of the HYPMS. </p>
