Do new students get Best Buy student discounts?

<p>Best Buy has that $100 off Macbook student deal going on, and we need a .edu address and a school ID. I'm going to be a Freshman and I don't have a school ID, so does that mean I can't get it?</p>

<p>Best Buy, as far as I know, doesn’t have an official student discount program. Instead, they just match Apple’s when it comes to MacBook purchases.</p>

<p>Apple tends to be very lenient. Just print out something from MyBerkeleyApp or BearFacts (if you have access to BearFacts) that shows you as accepted and you should be fine. Worst case, just order from <a href=“http://store.apple.com/us_edu_338414[/url]”>http://store.apple.com/us_edu_338414&lt;/a&gt;. They give you the discount, and don’t verify anything (or didn’t last time I checked).</p>
