like that shot was spot on

aside from something like golf coverage on tv or something similar, no

No. If someone said that, I would probably laugh at them.

At my school, the popular phrases are:
"Ballin'/baller" (ugh)
"That's so tight!" (chokes)
"....like...." (gags)

You would never hear anyone say "That's so gay," although apparently everyone else in the country says it. We are PC, unfortunately.

No.

10 char

im talking about everyone in general not teens

No to that as well.

u people fail me

I hear a lot of "that sucks," "that's so gay," and "that's hot." Yeah.

??sorry people don't talk the way you want??

i'm not saying i say it. I'm just asking if anyone regardless of age say it in America. I'm trying to win an argument

I can add it to my slang vocabulary if you'd like. :)

Spot on!

Dude, this thread is spot on!

And I now have 1002 posts! :D SPOT ON!

That actually is kind of catchy..

I believe it's a British colloquialism.
E.g.
"Yes, that is the answer John! Spot on!"

^^^Haha, I think you're actually correct.

I've never heard anyone use it. I've heard, "Great!" or "That's right!" or "That is clutch!" (whatever the last one means) but never "spot on". It's nice, though. I do have a liking for British phrases, though.

No .

i've heard something like "i'll have a spot of tea" and it was a british person on some movie or something

I know people who say "spot on" and I've said it a few times too.

(spot on usually means correct/perfect)

Spot on!

This reminds me of "Head On... Apply Directly to the Forehead... Head On..."!

Only British people say "spot on" or maybe Australians, too.

I've never heard anyone in America say it, but in my head I can imagine a British accent speaking those words. ;) Like, "A'right mate, jolly good show, that was spot on!"
