Do SAT II scores matter that much to Michigan?

Hey all,
So here's what happened to me. I got
620 CR
630 Math
510 Writing

On the ACT however I got a composite 29

So, along with a GPA of 3.84, and living in Ann Arbor, being a middle class white (not that that matters anymore) male, what would you say my chances are of getting in. I've been told by many that I'd probably have little problem but they may just be being kind. Anyways, your advice would be appreciated.

Send your ACT, it'll give you a MUCH better shot. Slight reach if that GPA is weighted, match if it's unweighted (in-state).

Michigan doesn't even consider SAT IIs. Michigan is a match for you, assuming your 3.84 GPA is unweighed.

I got 28 on my ACT's. 33 on math, 29 and 26 on reading and english.

BUT.....a 23 in science. I was just REALLY tired by the end of the test and basically gave up. And I want to do science in college, but that 23 score obviously reflects nothing of my ability.
Should I still send that ACT score in? My SAT's are 760 for math, 670 for writing, and 580 for reading.

I would consider retaking the ACT. You might still be able to take the June one, or practice a few to build up your stamina over the summer, and then take it in the fall.

Regardless, the ACT is not really indicative of your science skills, as it simply focuses on your ability to read graphs and reach conclusions from them. UMich, however, might have a slight scruple with your inconsistency of subscores. Retake it; you have nothing to lose.

Good luck.
