Do teacher recommendations have to be in by the application deadline?

<p>My school uses Naviance to send recommendations and my counselor was supposed to assign the recommendations to Tufts but for some reason failed to do so.</p>

<p>I've tried emailing my counselor, but she is non-respondent. The next time I will be able to formally contact her is when I return to school on January 2nd. This, however, is post deadline and I'm not sure whether Tufts will accept the recommendations.</p>

<p>From what I know, I think non-application (recs, transcripts) are taken after the deadline to a certain point.</p>
