do they completely disregard common app essay?

do you think the admissions officers completely disregard the common app essay? cuz it seems like they just want THEIR essay. it's not so much "supplemental" as it is what they REALLY want. now i'm worried because my common app essay was interesting, and the one i sent as a supplement was rather boring. anybody know anything about this?

I hope not. I liked my Common App essay a lot more than my supplemental essay.

Also, my "box" doesn't really make sense without reading the Common Application essay first.

Yes, the common app esay prompt is a waste, it is just there to take up space.

I chose the experience prompt from the common app. This is the same exact question asked on the supplement! Should I just attach a copy of what they will read from the common app?

i'm not sure about that. you could call them, but they're not working. i THINK i read in another thread that someone else had the same problem and the rice ppl said to just attach the common app essay on the supplement. but i'm not sure, so don't take my word for it.

did any of you guys discover mistakes in your essay? I found a completely ghastly agreement error that's sure to stick out. I think i was cutting/pasting different parts of the essay from other essays I wrote, and somehow along the way, something didn't agree. i'm not sure whether to tell them about it, or to just ignore it. sigh do they automatically reject you if your essay has a horrid mistake? i've heard yes and no.

Well, what kind of "horrid mistake" did you make? If it's really bothering you, just send them your corrected essay.

Good luck! :)
