With the workload do you really get a chance to have fun while you're at school? Is the social life good?

I'm pretty sure they do. That's probably were the whole "well-rounded" thing comes in. Where kids can study but also manage to talk some time to go out and have a life. Plus, Yale students are some of the coolest college kids I've talked to so far so they must have fun.

my bro is a varsity hockey player, has a girlfriend, takes 5 classes and STILL manages to party on the weekends. yale kids are good at multitasking, that's for sure! :)

Most definitely. I love life here. I'm a freshman prospective econ major, and I'd honestly say I'm doing significantly less work than in high school. My classes don't start till 10:30, I have time to nap and relax and go to the gym, and I have plenty of opportunities to party on the weekends.

Now, a caveat to that is that yes, there will be weeks or weekends where you have to buckle down and work like crazy. But that is by far the exception to daily life, not the norm! I don't think I've had any weekends yet where I've actually had to study every night.
