Do you have to apply to FSU before you actually schedule an audition for FSU?

Hey guys! This may sound a little amateurish, however this is a huge concern and quite unclear to me. I am highly interested in FSU Musical Theater program. I know there is a great possibility of getting into the school itself with my my crudentials. However I am retaking the ACTs on October 27th (To get a better chance at scholarships). The only thing is, I really want to make sure I get a good audition time, since you have to call after October 1st to establish your date. I even heard that is fills up quickly! So my main question is: Can I still call for an audition time, but not have sent in my application by the time I call? I will definitely have my application sent in once my ACT scores come in, but it won’t be in time before the audition slots fill up! :frowning: My ACT scores aren’t bad! They are National average. But I know I can do better! So do I need my application sent in before I actually call for audition scheduling, or do I just need it sent in before the actual deadline and audition itself? Thanks so much for understanding! I hope I made myself a little clear! :)

Natalie,
You do NOT have to apply to the university before you schedule an audition! Go ahead and get your audition set up and just make sure you have your university application complete by the deadline posted on the general admissions web site.

Best wishes!

Natalie,

The BFA track fills up quicker than the BM track. In any event, Michelle is right, get your audition date locked in. You might want to apply with the scores you have, and have them updated, since the deadline for accepting scores is further out. It can get pretty frantic if you are applying for several colleges, just opt to have the scores sent automatically and you will only have to follow up to confirm they have been received.
