I have kind of a unique situation here that I'd appreciate help with. I graduated in 2013 and took 3 classes at my community college this past fall. I did not do as well as I would've liked to. And due to mental health issues (depression and anorexia), I took this semester off. I would like to start fresh this fall. I was a very strong student in high school, and I would rather not have colleges know I performed so poorly at community college this fall. Am I obligated to show them my grades there?

Post high school college attendance may cause some colleges to require you to apply as a transfer rather than frosh (check each college for its own threshold on this), and in either the transfer or frosh application scenarios, the colleges will want to know all college courses and grades you have taken.

Colleges will require you to submit transcripts from all colleges you have attended, and they will search for your record here:

So, better to submit your transcripts and explain your health issues than not comply and suffer the consequences.
