Do you/Have you lived in Stern?

Can you tell me how wide the cubbyholes in the bathroom are? I'm talking about the width of the opening.

Thanks!!! Random question, I know, but I want to know what size shower caddy to get...

aren't they like 10 inches or something? haha. i don't know specific measurements.

sidenote, i really never trusted leaving my stuff in the shower.

I just know that in Wilbur, cubbies were like 4 or 5 inches across, but in Kimball they were a good 10 inches. Are you sure that the cubbies are on the bigger side? =]

Luckily, I have never had problems with people using or taking my things. A bunch of guys in my freshman dorm complained over the chat list that people were using their toothpaste, soap, and shaving cream.... weird.

no i'm not sure at all. i just guessed from all the other ones i've seen. i've seen them in stern, i just don't remember for sure how big they were.

why not just wait and go to target or walmart after you get there?

I suppose I will have to do that. I was just worried that everything would sell out up there =] Or perhaps some freshman on this board will live in Stern and will be able to tell me =p

I'm in Stern now and the cubbies are plenty big here. I'm in Zapata - I don't know if they're different in other dorms. I have plenty of room for my little basket with my tall shampoos standing upright. I would guess they're about a foot tall and maybe 10 inches wide.

Thank you, calikent, for indulging my obsessive planning =] Hope you are enjoying orientation!

I'm in Serra right now (sitting in room 117...). The cubbyholes are pretty decently sized, about 10in x 10in x 10in? Dunno if you'll get this message in time for it to be helpful, but I hope to see you soon.

Thanks JEW711, perhaps I'll meet you tomorrow when I arrive. I think I'm in room 209, but I have an awful memory.

yes - orientation is awesome! very busy tho...i need a break (and a shower!)
