<p>Business school admissions is based on three things: work experience, GMAT score and GPA. Unless you're VERY VERY qualified, you won't get into any top MBA schools without at least 3-5 years of work experience. The admissions weigh work experience much more than the other two, you need to perform well and show that you can be an asset to the company. So basically most people go to prestigious undergrads to get a great job upon graduation and then apply to MBA programs.</p>
