same with me. everyone is getting “no’s” and i believe im still on “hold” my status says the same thinglol

im starting to freak out lol
what do other “held” peoples status’s look like? if i may ask
mine says
"Thank you for your interest in the University of Cincinnati!

We have received your application and all of the required supporting documents. Your file is now complete and ready for review by an Admissions Officer.

To make an informed admissions decision, we must carefully review all relevant transcripts and supplemental materials; therefore, an admission decision can take three weeks or longer depending on the volume of applications received and your chosen program of study. We appreciate your patience! "

That is the same “Hold” message we are also getting on my son’s Check Your Status page. Having auditioned on December 4th, the three month wait for a definite answer is starting to take its toll on him. He is continuing to audition at schools he has no interest in attending, in order to create plans B thru G (if plan A fails to materialize). I am praying that this wait has not been in vain. Good luck to all of you that are in the same boat as my son. Hopefully this is the week!

Below is part of the HOLD letter that some kids received…

…“As we have had such an enormous number of applications for the Musical Theatre program this year, we are placing a number of auditionees on Hold. I am happy to inform you that you are among these in other words, you are under serious consideration for admission to the program, but we have been unable to reach a final decision on your application as yet. To date, we have seen about 500 applicants and have another 200 still to see. However, please know that you are in an elite group we have selected to continue in the process of choosing a class.”

hey sualabama! : )
Just curious - that letter was received by an auditionee at the Chicago Unifieds - right? I think (I hope) by now they have seen those other 200 kids (at L.A. Unifieds and one last campus audition) and can tell us their decisions already!

And we are with you, Apple66 - been waiting since Dec. 4th…

Hey MTMama!! Yes, indeed, that is correct. She auditioned in Chicago. She’s not even my child and the wait is terrible! Here’s to all these great kids getting great offers in the coming weeks!

thanks guys! yeah i recieved the same email a few days after my audition. but my status hasnt changed lol im at that point of being very tired of auditions lol especially for schools i dont even really care for. but youve been a great help. i can calm down a bit now and just keep waiting lol =] best of luck to all your kids. hopefully we will be in the same class next year lol

I was just beginning to have hope again when I see that “Hold” emails went out for audition dates as recent as the Chicago Unifieds. Now I’m back to scratching my head as to why some would receive a Hold email and others would not, if eventually, some of those that did not get offers?

My son auditioned with CCM MT at Chicago Unifieds, was sent an “on hold” email the following Monday and today received an acceptance email from CCM. He is extremely excited to have been accepted at such an excellent program, especially after being on extended hold elsewhere. Now we have to schedule a trip to actually see the campus and experience the program firsthand. It’s so nice to finally exhale! Best of luck to everyone.

@MTmama and CalDad3 – HUGE congratulations to your talented offspring!! I know they have worked long and hard to reach the level of excellence that CCM commands. Hoorah!!!

My fingers are still crossed for more happy news!

Congratulations to all!!! I’m having a grand time living vicariously through your acceptance posts! My D. is a current sophomore MT at CCM & I well remember the joy. It was a great day in our house!! D. continues to be sooo happy. Feel free to give a shout with any questions. Manvan, A head’s up for your visit to CCM,( because I want it to be an awesome visit!), … many of the MT kids have few exams during “exam week” & therefore start their spring break a little earlier than the general UC community. I know several have scheduled summer auditions that week starting the 13th. This may not impact you at all but if you want to be able to talk to current MT students, earlier in the week is best to catch the most students there. Again, huge congratulations!

Thanks for the heads-up. I work at a school and that’s my Spring Break. We’ve never been to the campus, so hopefully some classes will be happening. If not, we’ll just go get some Skyline.

Yummmmm, I forgot that Skyline originated in Cincinnati…something else to look forward to if S decides to attend CCM. He was accepted into the drama program yesterday. Congratulations to the kids and parents who also received good news recently, and best wishes to those still waiting.
