<p>sending recommendation letters isn’t advisable for large state schools like purdue. probably won’t make a difference for an admissions decision but you can probably send one or two if it puts your mind at ease…</p>
<p>They aren’t needed. At an event an admissions person from engineering adressed this, she said that try get about 20,000 apps a year and don’t need to review 40,000 letters about how awesome you all are. </p>
<p>So no. You don’t need to send them into Purdue.</p>

<p>I was emailing an admissions officer about it, cause I sent some letters in a few weeks ago but they never showed on the website. I asked if I should send them again, and she said they weren’t important and not a high priority item.</p>
<p>She basically told me don’t send them again.</p>
