I was just reading on the 'ask the dean' site questions pertaining to how many times colleges renege on admission offers based on kids not keeping up their grades and remember that the BS acceptance offer is based on your S/D keeping up their grades. Are we supposed to ask the school to send a final transcript? What happens if we forget?

Yes. Most school acceptances are still contingent on a final transcript.

will the boarding school request a final transcript from your school or do you have to ask your school to send one at the end of the year?

I think you should ask for one to be sent. That would be proactive. Eventually the school will ask for it, though. I suggest taking care of it yourself and show them you’re on “top of your game.”

okay, thanks.

Our school actually sent us a note reminding us to have a final transcript sent to them at the end of the year.

My daughter just got a packet today that included a request for a final transcript. This is very standard across the board.
