AP English Literature. I can usually find something useful in a class but not this one. It is absolutely horrendous. I have not learned anything in this class. The things that the teacher tries to teach are all things I already knew or things he pulled out of his ass.

Above: digitial electronics… Sounds fun but as an electrical engineering major I like analog stuff much better :)

AP English Literature
And only sort of AP Psychology and AP Spanish because I learned a few things in these classes that can be somewhat used outside of the class, but I feel these can be replaced with engineering or non-AP science electives coming from a broad spectrum just to see what things are like.
I don’t regret taking most of my APs because I either learned something valuable or used them to milk the AP credit system.

My advanced music theory class. I’ve taken private lessons for ten years and I thought I would learn a lot of new things. I learned one, maybe two, new concepts, and they were things I could have easily googled and learned just as effectively.

Currently, I’m regretting taking jazz band too. I thought I would enjoy it, but the people in it are starting to annoy me and it really don’t do anything for me anymore.

Finally, I’m getting to that point with my advanced biology class. My teacher pretty much hands us the notes the first day of the unit and we never review it. We’re just expected to know it for the test, and nothing we do in class helps with learning the material. I switched into AP Chemistry for next year because AP Bio no longer looks appealing.

Business Information Systems-counted as the technology credit. I should have taken multimedia and learned the special tools of PhotoShop and InDesign or webmastering or even Computer Science. Basically learned how to use Microsoft Word which I already knew how to do :l

Sociology-blow off class. should’ve taken the off period and studied for APs

AP Bio-too much studying for a business major.should’ve taken AP CompSci instead.

I biggest regret is taking Introduction to Art. I got a B in the class because I absolutely have no artistic talent whatsoever.

The only reason I took it was because I needed an art elective in order to graduate. Then I discovered a year later that my debate classes count as art electives.

AP psychology - extremely easy class, but sooooooo boring. I don’t even like psychology at all. This was the only ap class I could snag other than ap world

Principles of Biomedical Sciences. I highly discourage anyone from taking PLTW classes!!! The curriculum is a joke!!! All you get is packets that teach you nothing and make you look things up on google!!!

Psychology

All of my PLTW classes have been awesome! But then again, my teachers pretty much disregard the entire curriculum and teach what they want and we do a lot of projects as well. The last week or so we have a crash course on the real curriculum so we don’t fail the final.
So while I agree that PLTW would suck if you follow th curriculum, they can be awesome with the right teacher.

AP Bio and AP Physics C I don’t plan on going in to and medical or engineering field only took it for the GPA boost wish I didn’t tho my junior year would have been less stressful.

This class ostensibly sounds like an easy elective, but my biggest regret was taking Marching Band freshman year; it was one of the most miserable experiences I’ve ever had. I had to get up at 5:00 AM every morning to march on a cold, icy field crashing 8 lb. cymbals. A lot of the time, we’d be out on the football field marching when it was still dark outside. The band director would yell at me throughout the entirety of the practices because I couldn’t stay on beat. It wasn’t that i couldn’t keep time, but my problem was not adequately calculating the time by which it takes me to crash the cymbals together since it actually requires some physical exertion after awhile. I nearly ended up with a B+ in the class due to my mediocre performance, but I literally wrote a 2000 word essay for extra credit explaining my devout passion for marching band in order to secure an A.

It is literally the reason I don’t look upon my freshman year of high school favorably…

yeah i shouldve taken no classes
