Hello. Do you guys think the very possibility of many incoming new students deferring or taking a gap year during this upcoming fall semester will affect the chances of applicants for Fall 21 to be accepted? If a good number of new students who should be starting their career at their new school during the Fall 20 semester decide to wait to start until the following year then that could lead to fewer spots in classes and other resources (dorm rooms, food, etc.) thus leading to fewer acceptances for then-current applicants.
Are they letting transfers defer this year?
Pretty sure they are not allowing people to defer, however several of my friends believe fall 2020 will be online and plan on finishing requirements and working instead of attending. Definitely not the best path for everyone though.
Although it is a small sample, aren’t you saying the same thing as I did? If your friends are considering not attending for the time being, then that could reduce spots for future applicants. Please correct me if I read your comment wrong.

In the past a transfer could not defer and must reapply. Freshmen can defer. I’m not sure how they’ll handle it this year. Anyone who wants to defer will find out soon enough. Please post here if you hear back. Thanks.
