Do you use so far 12th grades in csu gpa

I went on the csu mentor website and it said enter all grades after ninth grade in the gpa calculator
so my question is is this true

please reply

For the CSU Mentor GPA calculator, you enter in you Sophomore/Junior grades for a-g courses only. If you have taken Honors/AP’s that are UC approved during those years, you get extra Honors points up to 8 Semesters or 4 year long courses.
Most students will not have will not have Senior grades to report at the time of application. You will fill out the application with your Senior course in-progress only. Some schools will ask for Mid-year grades after your acceptance but usually you only need your final transcript after you graduate.

then why does it say on the website to enter grades after ninth grade on the website it does not specify not using 12th grades <a href=“Cal State Apply | CSU”>Cal State Apply | CSU;

See page 11 of http://www.calstate.edu/SAS/documents/freshmaninstructions.pdf</a> and the instructions for how to deal with courses that you are currently taking and for which you do not yet have a grade.

so what if your 12th grades change the day after u submit apps

CSU’s do not use mid-year senior grades to determine admission unless you are specifically requested after applying to submit such grades. And you are not to submit such grades absent specific request to do so. In other words, if your senior grades change after you apply, your application does not change and such grades will only be used later after you graduate from high school to determine if your admission should be withdrawn.

@gumbymom Which GPA should I use when filling out my application? I took nearly 10 AP classes and 1 honors class and I know that they will only count 8 semesters. I’ve been getting mixed answers; I asked my friend from a different school what her GC told her and she told her to use the university gpa while my own GC instructed me to use the CSU gpa. With the CSU GPA it came out 3.6 while my university GPA is at 3.7.

University GPA = CSU GPA. That’s not HS GPA.

@pinkponylife You do not enter senior year grades unless the term for which grades are given is over.

Example:

If your high school posts semester grades (& the semester = obv. not over), but you have a progress report, you do NOT enter the grades from the progress report. Leave the grades section blank.

OR

If you high school = on the quarter system, and the quarter is over, you do post quarter grades, as these are form the official term.

Official grades: Include in app.
Unofficial grades: Do NOT include.
