Do you wear glasses/contacts?

I got glasses when I was in 7th grade (A valid reason for getting a C in math class…I was sitting in the back and could barely see!)…It took me a while to finally wear them…but I couldn`t see notes on the board in my history class, so I had to wear them…no big deal then.

I got contacts in May and like them better than glasses.

lol my friend who we all make fun of for having such bad luck was just recently told she has to wear contacts and glasses. at the same time.

I wear contacts. Without them, I can’t see much. I’m pretty sure each eye is 300/20

I don’t really need glasses unless I sit in the back and my teacher scribbles and has small handwriting so even though I have them, I usually leave them at home.I don’t have any need for contacts.

I cannot operate properly if I’m not wearing my glasses or contacts… it’s actually pretty embarrassing. :\ Anyway, I usually wear contacts when I’m at school and switch to glasses whenever I’m at home.

Neither. I <3 being able to go without glasses and contacts :D. Glasses are so clunky and contacts - eww.

I have pretty good vision in my left eye and moderately okay vision (plus astigmatism) in my right. I’ve been wearing glasses for the past ten years but switched to contacts about 3 weeks ago. I go to school and other public places with contacts, but the first thing I usually do whenever I get home is to take out my contacts and put my glasses back on. I like contacts, but they get really dry after a while, and it’s really hard (for me) to put rewetting drops in my eye without wasting half the bottle on the area directly below my eye.

Contacts, man.
I never wear glasses in public.
Like.
Ever.

But I also carry around a gallon of Visine eye drops.

I wear glasses for most of time. I live in a dry climate and when I do wear contacts, I can barely open my eyes. I also use Visine, but it only relieves the drieness for about ten miinutes. Another reason why I prefer glasses is because I feel safe with them. My glasses have narrow lenses and it is harder to see my eyes with them on. I don’t like having people except my family see my eyes water up (not enough for tears to fall out of my eyes but enough for shiny, glossy eyes. I usually need a few seconds to control my emotion. And when my eyes do water up, it comes quickly. Those few seconds are enough for people to spot the glossy eyes). I haven’t cried in school ever since seventh grade (probably not very long comparing to some people). Not even once. Kind of a stupid reason, but still a reason.

I can get pretty unconfident when I can’t see so I wear my glasses pretty often. I’ld love to get contacts. the only thing that bothers me is that they slightly change your eye color (from what I’ve seen)

I don
t think my contacts really change my eye color…but I haven
t paid that much attention to it.

Visine … don’t use that. Visine makes your eyes look less red by constricting blood capillaries in your eyes. That’s not a good thing because capillaries deliver nutrients to your eye cells and remove metabolic wastes.

Use something that doesn’t “cheat” such as Refresh Liquigel or Optive. These drops actually lubricate your eyes instead of simply making them look less red.

Glasses. I don’t think contacts are for me.
It takes almost 30 minutes to get them in, my eyes are red and swollen from all the tears, and my eyes turn really dry. The contacts stick to my eyelids and I can never see clearly. Eye drops only help for a few minutes. But I really wish I can wear contacts :frowning: Maybe dream lens?

The first five days I used contacts, it took me about 20 minutes to get one in, let alone the other, and it felt like I had an eyelash in my eye…you know the feeling. But I`m used to it now, and it takes me 30 seconds to put them in.

I wear glasses, I had glasses for a long time now, sometimes I forget I have them on most of the time.

Glasses- one of those huge black ones LOL

I wear glasses more as like a fashion statement than a vision issue. It makes things a LOT more clear, I’m not going to lie, but I can totally live without them. Also, it covers my bent nose I received from a karate accident pretty well (:

I wish i didnt, but i like the frame style of my specs so theyre cool i guess lol

I would wear contacts - and i do have them, but i find that its a struggle to put them in when you’re sleep deprived at 6 AM. So i usually just go with glasses.

Glasses- contacts make me itchy and it’s hard for me to touch my eyes. My mom says to give it time but I’m very anti.
I love the big-frame styles but my mom hates them and they look really bad on me, so I’m stuck with my little pink half-frames from seventh grade. Oh well.
