do your parents make you wake up early during summer vacation

im just curious, cause my parents make me wake up at 5:30 every day. I WANT SLEEP. but apparently im too lazy lol and most kids my age apparently do the same thing =[

i like being lazy. its fun.

so are u forced to wake up early, do you like to wake up early, or are u lucky enough to get to sleep when u want to?

They wake you up at 5:30? For what?

I have classes starting at 9 and 11 (I guess I’m staying up all night tonight… just not tired), so I have to wake up for those, but other than that no.

I think something like from 1 to 10 would be ideal, if you get your body set to that. Unfortunately, at least with me, as soon as I start sleeping in, I fall asleep later, and sleep in even more, and fall asleep later. In other words my body doesn’t give a crap what time of day it is, but rather how long it’s been since I last slept and how much sleep I got then. The exceptions are that, when I have massive sleep debt, I am more conducive to napping at 3PM, 7PM, and 11PM. If I make it past 11 awake then I won’t go to bed for a long time.

I think my ideal day would be 25-26 hours, so I could get a lot of sleep yet still get to bed early enough that I will wake up at the same time the next day. If I’m ever rich enough I’ll live in a cave or something and set my life to this model.

Naw. They used to spI can do math problems and stuff, but now, they don’t. I guess I’m kinda free ya know? As a hs grad and all…

Not unless I have something to do.

Your parents must be really obsessive.

Mine couldn’t care less what time I woke up, how much I slept, etc. during the school year, much less during summer. (For example, its 4am and I just got out of the shower. I didn’t wake up until 12:30 yesterday.)

your parents are crazy!
I just sleep until I wake up and decide to start the day

Its summer, you should be able to stay up late and wake up even later

Never heard of anyone doing this.

Well now that there are World Cup games every day at 7:30, I wake myself up at 7:30 miraculously. :P

5:30? w.tf
that’s not even funny.

Not by my parents. I sometimes have to force myself if I happen to work early that day.

YES. I absolutely hate waking up at like 10 or 11, because my day is out the window. 7:00 is the ideal time for me.

I accidentally slept for 15 hours straight one time.

In conclusion, my parents have other things to worry about and know that I can get done what I need to.

Hahahaahahaha no. I go to sleep when I want and wake up when I want. I went to sleep at 9 pm last night and woke up at 10 am though…that was great. I usually sleep around 3-4 and wake up at 12 or so.

Lol, I seem to be waking up earlier because of that as well. I’ve been trying to set my alarm to 4 am, although I typically sleep through it until 5 am or 6 am. I’m still usually able to view part of the first game though.

same here warts…i meant to wake up in time for Denmark/Netherlands…ended up waking up with only 30 mins left in Japan/Cameroon

Generally, I wake up at 4:30, so I don’t need my parents’ help to wake up early, and my job requires that I am up and about before 5:00 anyway.

On weekends though, my parents wake me up at 7:00 to do my chores. I’m not allowed to sleep until they’re finished. :(

I wake up before 6 almost every day, for swim practice.

I woke up at 9:00 today and feel ill. I need to get back on my usual 5:00 wake-up schedule.

Do you work? I ask out of curiosity…

My mom says as long as I stay in the house and depend on them for money, I’m bound by her rules…

^my mom says that too. she’s not that strict about it though so i can wake up whenever i want. if i wake up late she’ll ask if i’m sick which is her smartass way of calling me lazy. i don’t really have a job but i do model so i make money from that…therefore i am not lazy.

I sleep at 1AM and wake up at 11AM

During school, its 12 to 7, which is a three hour difference in sleeping time
