Does anybody know what happens if you take a pre-req that isn't articulated directly?

For example: I need to take Discrete Mathematics. There is a CC close to me with their version of Discrete articulated, but the classes were all full this semester, so I’m taking it at a CC where it doesn’t articulate to the UC’s, even though the two CCs are in the same district.

Does it help that I’m at least taking the class? Or is it basically as if I haven’t taken Discrete yet?

It needs to articulate. You need to find another course.
That often happens that seemingly matching courses do not articulate correctly, or one fulfills IGETC at one district CCC, while not fulfilling it at another district CCC.

I’m not sure why exactly you would take the course if it doesn’t articulate. And from the POV of the CCC, they may see it as matching, even though the UCs don’t - meaning you can’t retake if you get a C or higher.

I give you props for checking. A lot of ppl don’t.
