does anyone have info about STARS summer program

I'm a junior, and searching for something to do in the summer. I looked at a program called STARS (<a href="http://www.umsl.edu/%7Esep/stars.htm%5B/url%5D">http://www.umsl.edu/~sep/stars.htm</a>) and it looked interesting so I applied. I just got notified that I got in, so I'm doing some more in-depth research before I decide to go. I searched it on google, and I didn't really find any outside information on it.

From the discription, it looks really great (i'm into science), plus its cheaper than most other college summer programs. I want to know if any of you heard/been to this this program. It is a significant investment of my time and money and I don't want to be wasting either of those. I'm concerned that since it seems to be geared more towards local students, (apparently 13 of the 50 students this year will be out of state) maybe its not really too hard to get in (which implies that the work will not be demanding/challenging) or that its a program that no one knows about. (Because as much as I hate to admit it, a large part of my motivation to go has to do with getting into college ^_^;;;)

Any help would be awsome, thanks.

And this is my first post here!! Hopefully it will be the first of many.

yeah i'm from st. louis and i did this program last summer. i thought it was pretty good, i'm not sure about its prestige...but i really enjoyed it. i thought the experience was great - i worked with a neurologist from washu med. - and it was really fun. this year...there were i think 300 applications for 50 spots...which was really ridiculous because i didn't think a lot of people knew about it. 2 people even applied from Greece. yeah..message me if u have any other questions.
