Hi everyone! It's my first time posting! Anyway I'm freaking out about my summer activities this year: I'm applying to SSP, COSMOS, and HSHSP. I don't know if I will get in, I'm just going to assume that I won't (that way if I do get in then it'll be a nice surprise, and if I don't then I won't mind). I'm also waiting for a Governor's School of the Arts portfolio review; so I might get into GSA this summer. If absoutly nothing works out I'm hoping to ask a prof. at the nearby WVU to let me "intern" or observe or something. I mean, there's always things I could do in the summer, but I was wondering if I should apply for any other programs? Is 3 enough? I'm a sophmore, I have a 4.15 GPA, and I am taking AP Calc AB and AP Stats this yr + 5 APs next yr. I just don't want to waste my summer if I don't get into anything :/

Oh, and I’m also self studying AP Psych and Enviro

I don’t see a problem with applying for more programs. That’ll just increase the number of options you have.

Ok, do you know any good programs? :/

You should get into COSMOS…

You think? I thought it was really competitive and all that…

Honestly, I would just keep your fingers crossed for the programs you have applied to. It’s clear that those are the most interesting to you, and if you don’t get into those, it may be better just to get a job or an internship than force a camp experience.

Thanks glassesarechic…thats prob what I’m going to do (I’m also hoping that they’ll take into account that I’m from a place that’s not exactly known for academic talent)
