that thing hasnt worked for months when myself or any one i know has tried it

Yeah. I am getting "Page not found" when I click on the link. It's very strange. Has this link worked for anyone here?

It still works for me, and it worked for my friend this morning.

It works for me... but the status page is utterly useless!

They are releasing decisions online...if they weren't, why would they send an email saying "do this thing or you won't be able to check your decision online?"

I'm not positive about the March 29th thing (nobody is, I guess, at least for Princeton) but I'd say there's an 80%+ chance that that will happen.

Could someone post what that e-mail said? I applied ED, so although (I guess) it doesn't affect me, I'd like to see what Princeton said. Thanks!

It begins just by saying "go register at this site" and giving you directions on how to do it.

From now until March 10, 2007, you can log in to confirm that your application is complete. If your application is not complete, you will see a list of the missing pieces of your application.

In early April you will use the same username and password to log in and view your decision. To protect the confidentiality of your decision, do not share your username and password with anyone. When you have finished viewing your decision online, be certain to close your browser.

We will also postal mail decision letters to all applicants.

Sincerely,
Princeton Admission Office

Here's the full e-mail:

Early April is not March 29!!!

This is interesting, because usually the ivies release on the same date. I wonder if it's going to be March 29 then or April1-3.

Re: status page. This may be unavailable through some institutions' networks. Where I work my D can access Amherst's status page but not Princeton's. At home she can access all of them. It must have to do with Princeton's security interacting with the security of whatever network you are on.

I got the email too :)

I didn't get one...

I feel like a dumbass. I got that email like three weeks ago. Remember kids, read everything in the emails.

What do you mean by that?

I got the mail as well... so the status page will tell the decision... Instead of early April, they could've been more specific

What I meant is that I asked something that I would have known if I would have read all my emails thoroughly.

Whew. Just registered for my status page. It's just 27 days away, so I'm bookmarking all my college application decision websites. I'm not counting on acceptance at all, but I still want to have everything organized.

i can't imagine how nerve-racking it must be when going to the website clicking 'login' on the day of decisions

Daughter doesn't want to use the online features to check acceptances. Wants to wait for snail mail. The additional wait is going to kill me. Guess nerves are taking over and she's just worried of getting rejected.
