Does app still go through if you're missing one letter of rec?

For universities such as UChicago, they require two letters of rec. One of my teachers did theirs electronically, and I still have to mail my other letter of rec. So, will the app go through even though I am missing one letter of rec? I don't want to write the essays if the app won't even be able to be submitted.

bumppppppppp

Why can’t your other teacher do it electronically? Also, contact the office of admissions and the CA people. I think you should be able to submit once CA office gets it. I don’t know where you’d send the letter to, so maybe you should tell admissions that you’ll mail them one and the other will be through the CA.

Well, the electronic letter of rec is from one teacher, and my other teacher decided to not do it electronically, and just let me mail it. The deadline is Jan 1st, and I’m pretty sure everything is closed until then.

Does anyone else know if the common app will still go through if you’re missing one letter of rec?

bump please anyone??

It definitely does. All the colleges I’m applying to on Common App need one letter of rec. My teacher still didn’t finish hers yet, but I was still able to submit all my supplements and make my payments. It’s kind of like how your school automatically sends the school report by mail, so you just have to do submit your part on time.

Ok thanks bunniesrcool. My school did the report online, so it was just the one missing letter of rec that concerned me. I did not want to do the essays and then later find out the school forms section was not complete. Again thanks for the response.
