If you are a recruited athlete, will this help you get admitted?

Of course, but it's only a considered factor. Just because you're recruited doesn't mean you're guaranteed a spot in a class, it only means you have a factor working for you.

your chances of being accepted are 60 percent.

Get a 2000 on your SAT and you'll be fine.

hwilliams: there are a variety of factors. jmanco's 60% prediction is nice but I don't know where he pulls that from.

Speak to the Brown coaches in your sport and see what they tell you. You'll probably need to submit video and other info. But this is true for any college you'll be considering. Speak to your own coach and ask him/her about your relative quality and "recruitability". Best of luck to you.

thanks. my stats are 2200 SAT, I take APs, make all A's. , taking SATII this weekend.

im pretty sure you're in (assuming the coach wants you)

congrats you made it

don't get caught cheating or doing drugs and you're ace.

It depends if the coach supports your application. If he does then you are likely to get in especially with your scores. Coaches can generally support a limited number of athletes they recruited. Apparently, essays are a determining factor in these kinds of situation, regardless of your SAT scores.
