I saw a student review on another site that said that LMU is pretty dead on weekends because students go home or file out into LA. Thoughts? I have to say that when we visited on a Saturday, it was very quiet on campus.

My son, who is a production major in SFTV, is on film crews every weekend. The campus serves as his home base throughout the weekend, but he may be off site with a crew at various times. Even though we live in the LA region, he rarely comes home for the weekends. He reports that things are more quiet because principally graduate level courses in the School of Education happen on Saturdays and so students are in their rooms or in the library, studying. He also tells me there are massive numbers of clubs and other organizations on campus (Greek sororities and fraternities, too), so students are usually doing activities with these organizations. He says there is no way to become bored unless you don’t involve yourself in some activity.
