Does Cornelius transfer between schools

If I switched majors, and therefore schools(Eng to Arts & Science) would I lose Cornelius scholarship?

Call the office that administers financial and merit aid, and ask them. I think it can transfer but why take my word for it? The people at Vanderbilt are very nice, very helpful when you call with questions.

Really, though, the engineering school is a great place. One thing to keep in mind is that engineering is a lot more generous with AP credit, and A and S is not likely to accept the credits just because engineering did.

Upon rethinking your question, I have a different prediction: if you are talking about enrolling in A and S instead of engineering as soon as you arrive (rather than transferring later), then I think the answer might be 'no'. The scholarship committees are basically faculty, I think, so it seems likely they are looking for candidates who are a particularly good match for their schools.

Give them a call if this is a major factor in your decision.

Holland1945,

Thom from Vanderbilt Admissions here. The Cornelius Vanderbilt scholarships are school specific, and would not transfer from Engineering to A&S (in your example).

Congratulations on your award and good luck with your decision!
