Does double or triple majoring benefit/hurt transfer?

I'm really interested in double or triple majoring and then trying to transfer, but I'm worried that it could make the transfer process too much more complex for it to be worthwhile (I don't really know if it would, I'm just worried that that's a possibility). I'm pretty set on going to a college closer to home with the intent of transferring after 2 years, and aside from really wanting to double/triple major anyway, I think it could also make me a more competitive transfer candidate if I still did really well, couldn't it?

Basically I could see it being a pro or a con in the transfer process and would like any insight you could give because I feel pretty clueless right now and don't want to jeopardize anything. Thanks!

I’m double majoring. Triple majoring would probably be much too hard in all but your first year.

It won’t matter for your transfer chances, but it would look good to employers at some extent after you graduate. Although a triple major is rare. I think a double major plus a minor might be more doable.

IMO, colleges are not particularly impressed by an applicant saying they want to double or triple major. I can think of one way in which a double/triple major could hinder transferring, and that is if it causes the applicant to take more lower level rather than advanced classes, as colleges consider how demanding your coursework is.

As far as double/triple majors looking good to employers, again, you need to balance spreading classes over more fields with not going into as much in depth in any one.
