Does impacted major affect my chances?

<p>Does the school accept you first and then determine if you can follow your major?
Or do they accept based on the competition within a major (impacted biology majors?)</p>

<p>I'm asking this because if they accept you first, then determine major, I should probably select Bio majors since that's what I want to do.</p>
