i dont think it snows at cornell

nah, no snow

What about rain? Is it cloudy at all?

That's sarcasm from them, in case you couldn't tell.. :) The northeast has all weather. Except hurricanes. No hurricanes.

haha i walked out today for breakfast and it was snowing

1st- YES there is snow! There are lakes all around that produce lake-effect snow. Lake-effect snow is when cold air aloft grabs moisture and energy off the warm surrounding lakes and then dumps snow on the surrounding land. There are also plenty of clippers, storms, and even nor'easters that can bring measurable snow to the Ithaca region.

2nd-

Got the sarcasm, but the northeast certainly can have hurricanes. Floyd in '99 is a solid recent example.

come on guys! you're killing the weather major within my soul :P

Ok, well then I guess we do have everything :)

OH you guys GOT me. I made this thread as a joke and was expecting people to fall for it, but when they said it didn't I fell for their sarcasm.

PWNED

I saw the title and started laughing, and knew that couldn't be serious.

But on a serious note, kittens are adorable.

To check out if Cornell is snowing:

Cornell Engineering : Quad Cam

It looks like it's coming down right now.

^ Barely, compared to what the Eastern Seaboard is receiving.

i'm so jealous of the major cities...

where I am there is NO snow on the ground, and we are in the snow belt!

sigh

^^^ it was 89 here today

^it was 14 here today, and I loved it :D

It snowed like 5-6 inches down here in NYC/Long Island, what's it like up there? is it hard to walk around campus when it snows heavily?

^i live on long island and i got more than 12 inches

considering all of cornell is under a gigantic dome you could say it doesnt snow there

cornell is actually colder IMHO than downtown ithaca...

when you're on the hill the wind and snow blow like mad :-d
