I'm kind of stuck in a rock in a hard place right now. May 1st is coming up and I've narrowed down my choices to basically Lehigh Univ (Bethlehem, PA) and Worcester Polytechnic Inst.

I got $15,500 a yr to WPI and nada from Lehigh but Lehigh is an academically strong and more prestigious school than WPI (as in the title, I'm going into Chemical Engineering)

I'm looking for opinions about if it matters that much where I go and if you have even heard of these places in general. Thanks!

Hoppy - You could check out which has the better co-op plan, which might lead to better contacts to get you into your field after graduation. BTW - Here in the midwest, Lehigh and Worcester sound about the same - and I would lean towrds Worcester - it’s got Polytech in it’s name. The only thing I know about Lehigh is that it is the home of noted IDC knucklehead Mike Behe. (And Lehigh has forced Behe to publish a disclaimer on his Uni website distancing themselves from his “research”. )

WPI is probably the better school but both of them are decent to good programs so My advice would be to go to the one that has the best combination of price, life, and any x-factors commonly referred to on here as “fit”.
