Does Stanford see first quarter grades Senior year?

<a href="http://admission.stanford.edu/application/freshman/transcripts.html">http://admission.stanford.edu/application/freshman/transcripts.html</a></p>

They say they only need the Midyear and Final reports from Sr. Year and the transcript, so does that mean no?
I'm applying REA.

It seems to me that they don’t require it but if you’re doing well I couldn’t hurt to send it. I know some high schools send it automatically. If you don’t submit and Stanford wants to see how you’re doing so far this year they can contact your guidance department to get it.

Thanks @Ellenak96‌! I would prefer to not send them because my grades are pretty low this quarter compared to other years. I usually start low in the beginning of the year and then improve.

So I talked to my guidance counselor and she recommends that I still send them in because it would look weird for me to not have them when other kids from my school do. I’ve had 4 A-'s amongst all A’s for the past 3 years; this quarter, I’ll probably end up with 3 A’s, 1 A-, and 1 B+. I know that these grades aren’t terrible but I feel like that B+ will certainly stick out on my transcript. The A- and B+ are for BC Calc and AP Physics.

What do you all think?

Your grades are fine. If you had a whole bunch of Bs and a C or two, that would be a problem. My D got her first B+ fall semester of senior year in AP Calc BC and she’s a happy freshman there now. Stanford is not looking for perfection. They are looking for passion, creativity, intellignece and students who shine in some area.

Stanford does not consider your first quarter grades significantly as they understand many students improve their grades over the course of each semester.

Thanks everyone for the very helpful comments! I will be receiving my first quarter grades later this week so I will post an update then.

Final grades:
AP English: A
AP Music theory: A
Shakespeare: A
Bc calc: A-
AP Physics: B+ :(

I think I’ll send them in anyways considering the advice I’ve received. Thanks everyone!
