<p>i read on the wellesley site that they really prefer applicants to have their SAT's and SAT II's all done before the end of their junior year, but I'm probably going to have to take my second subject test in october and MAYBE retake my SAT I in November. Do you think it'll hurt my chances at ED?</p>

<p>Um...I think it's alright. Just take the test latest---November. But not January. I'm not sure if you have to rush the scores for November though. I don't think it'll hurt but you better call the office. I should too!</p>
<p>The October test shouldn't be a big deal at all (last year those scores come out right before the November test...on Nov. 1st, I believe). The November test is less than ideal, but as long as you have the required testing completed, you should be okay as far as evaluating your application goes. No guarantees that your Nov. scores will be looked ED, however.</p>
<p>Ok, thanks. I'll probably give them a call and ask...I'm not sure though, I've taken the SAT I twice now (once in November 2006 and twice just last saturday) I made a 2180 (M-770, W-680, W-730) so it's not a bad score, but I think I did better in general this time around. If it dropped, which I don't even want to think about, I might retake it....</p>
<p>I doubt that it will drop, so it shouldn't be a problem for you. A 2180 is a great score, anyway, but I know that everyone wants to have as high a score as possible (I started with a 2170 and raised my overall score to a 2290 w/ no prep at any point, for what it's worth).</p>
<p>EDIT: Also, remember that even if one or two the the sections drop, if the other section(s) improve enough to increase your overall score, it's still an improvement. The third and final time I took the SAT, my math and writing sections dropped 10 points each (statistically that's no change, anyway), but my verbal increased 50 points (to an 800). Obviously, I still reported that score.</p>
