Hey guys! I just received an e-mail from Florida State saying they need my financial information before my financial aid is disbursed. But when I went to check my status on admissions, it says my app is still being reviewed.

My question is.. does this mean I am accepted and they just haven't updated my status to "accepted?"

I think that if you are applying as a transfer for Spring, they want to get everything ready, as acceptances can come well into the term. To be honest, I have no idea what this means, other than if you get accepted they want to be able to offer you financial aid. Good Luck.

Acceptance notification go out December 14th if you applied by October 17th
and they also go out March14th if you applied by January 18th
So more than likely they just need your informaiton

so I had to send in my 1040, my dads 1040, and some residency form. do u guys think this means I was accepted? how does Florida State formally let you know first? the website for my application doesn’t say anything and I never received an email saying I was accepted!

I first found out I was accepted through the status check page. When you are accepted it gives you a bunch of new info and links. Also, it says you are accepted ;-)

Admissions and financial aid may work in parallel. One works to determine your admissions eligibility and the other works on your financial aid eligibility. If you are accepted, you can then get a financial aid offer as well. Fall financial aid never posts early due to the tuition changes announced each summer. For for a spring admit, they try to get everything ready. BUT, you don’t know if you are accepted until there is an offer of acceptance. Hang in there.

thanks! I had sent in all my financial stuff and they shot me an email that day saying my info wasn’t accepted. I am on hold with financial aid as I am typing this. LOL
