Does U Chicago follow the "Midnight anywhere in the world" rule?

So this morning I smugly paid for my application fee (I had just gotten back from family vacation the night before, so really the earliest access to a computer in two weeks), congratulated myself on not being one of those people who's panicking at midnight, and went out to celebrate. I get in at 11:50 my time. I load it up to admire my "Submitted" page. Turns out that when it says "Successfully Submitted" after the payment page it means ONLY your payment has been submitted and not your actual application. I needed to go one more page and submit the application. I did, but at 12:03 January 3rd Central time. Am I completely done for? And yes, I know I'm an idiot and probably don't even deserve to get in if I can't even submit the application correctly, but I still would like to know if I have a chance.

Chicago's Uncommon Application: Applications from around the world... and under the sea

^they did for EA at least

Don't worry about it. Libby Pearson, one of the adcoms, said that a whole mess of people forgot to actually push the submit button during the EA deadlines like you did. Just be glad you realized your mistake in time. :)

In truth, I believe as long as it is in before 12:00 A.M Baker Island time you are fine. Which is about 7 A.M EST. However, I would just e-mail Libby Peterson to let her know.

I just emailed Libby to tell her that I want to be considered for Mountain Time Zone, so I think it's set. Thanks everyone for helping me out.

they do.. It's 7 am eastern time.

I just emailed another adcom about this just in case (heard that it's the right thing to do from a current student at UC).
