Senior year grades

Does it help in any way to send in your first quarter senior report card?

Hopefully, you won't need to send in those grades. Michigan still has a modified rolling admissions system, and a lot of people are accepted before they receive their first semester grades during their senior year. (I was among them when I applied during the 2004/2005 school year.) The longer you wait to send in your application, the lower your chances of acceptance will be because spots are being offered to students. However, if you are deferred, high grades during this period should help you so send them to Michigan.
