<p>I have tried to check UW's site to see what kind of scholarships they offer and I can't really find many at all, especially for out of state kids (which I would be). What are the most presitigious scholarships given out by UW and what do you have to do to get them?</p>

<p>At SOAR, they mentioned to us parents that there isn't much scholarship money for freshman but the opportunites were better for upperclassmen who excel academically while at UW.</p>
<p>We heard the same thing 2 years ago. Look at the scholarship page of the UW website and go through all of the possobilities to find something you can apply for- tedious, but it could be worth your while.</p>
