<p>Hey everyone, I'm from CA, and I was wondering if that has a negative or positive effect on the decision, or if it doesn't matter at all.</p>
<p>It does matter! They want to get a student body that is representative of all different states and countries. Whether it is negative or not, I cannot answer because I don’t know how many applicants there are from CA.</p>
<p>Unfortunately I think that CA is the state with the second-most students attending NYU XD Such is life.</p>
<p>Oh, okay, thanks! and oh -_- I thought it would be an advantage because we live across the country, but I forgot to factor in CA’s enormous population.</p>
<p>Wat is done is already done. I think you cannot change ur states rite? So lets hope all the best!</p>

<p>oh, okay… wow. I sincerely believed CA was under-represented, but I guess not.</p>
<p>Does international status (paying full-price) help?</p>
<p>Hahah sorry to burst your bubble. There are tons of kids from California here. I feel like most of them are from socal, somewhere around LA.</p>
