<p>In my "Why Macalester" essay I mentioned that I was an atheist (it was completely relevant, trust me). I just remembered that Macalester is affiliated with the Presbyterian Church. FUUUUUUUUUUU</p>

<p>Anyone have similar stories?</p>

<p>Someone on the UCLA forum said their essay was about how much they wanted to get away from SoCal.</p>

<p>They later said that they had changed the essay for UCLA.</p>

<p>Kind of off-topic, but I’ve said “junior yr sucks , jkjk lol” in an email to an ivy league adcom before. Then regretted and seriously considered changing my name.
I don’t think being an athiest would hurt though even if the schools christian.</p>
