Don't you get frustrated and confused when ppl don't like the essay you poured so much effort into? It's very annoying. I have no idea whether the adcoms will like my essay because everyone said different things about my essay(praises and bashes)

What IS a high-quality essay? Is it EVER possible to write an essay that match the taste of 90% of the population?

People differ on what they believe to be a "high-quality" essay. I've passed my essays on to some of my teacher and classmates to critique - some liked it, some didn't.

Try not to get frustrated. If you ask someone for their opinion, and they don't like it, you have the choice to either blow them off or to listen to what they say.

It's far worse to be surrounded by a bunch of people who will say your essay is great if it's complete garbage than to have your essay looked at by people who will honestly evaluate it. All they can do is give their honest opinion; you decide what to do with it.

Dunno. Everyone I've had read my essay (including random strangers at admissionchances.com), except for 1 person, liked it. To what degree varied, but the general vote was the it was a really good essay.

So sorry but no; I don't get frustrated. :)
