still waiting for other UC decisions but most likely I'll pick ucsb..
so I'm wondering about the dorms and apartments here
I want a quiet and nice place to stay in especially ones that you won't hear the sound of people partying on weekends

so please help

Santa Ynez apartments are probably your best option for what you want. It’s very quiet and peaceful over there, but you still will have the opportunity to meet lots of other transfer students. Definitely check out the housing website if you have not done so yet!

yeah i spent ~3 hours going through all the housing
and came down to santa ynez, san clemente or Manzanita Village

i don’t really like dorms since most of them you gotta share bathroom with entire floor…

Most transfer students that apply for housing will end up in one of the three apartments Santa Ynez, Westgate, or El Dorado. Transfers are typically not housed in San Clemente as it is for graduate students, and if there are remaining spaces continuing students are placed there. Manzanita Village is a great option and typically you only share the bathroom with 4 or 5 other students in the rooms right around yours, if those are ever full then you can one of the other four or five bathrooms down the hall. They are also one person at a time bathrooms, so you won’t be showering or using the restroom with anyone else in there. Depending on space, most transfers will end up in the apartments so your primary options will be the three undergrad apartments.
